⚾ Sarnia Brigade Accepted into the Elite Baseball League of Ontario for 2026
The Sarnia Brigade is proud to announce our official acceptance into the
Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) for the upcoming 2026 season—a major milestone for our program and local baseball development.
🔹 What is the EBLO?
Established by Baseball Ontario, the EBLO provides players aged 15U–18U with the opportunity to compete at the highest level of Rep baseball in the province. Featuring top-tier AAA teams from Windsor to the GTA, the EBLO is designed to foster elite competition, development, and post-secondary exposure.
🔹 What This Means for the Sarnia Brigade
- Our 15U, 16U, and 18U teams will officially join the EBLO starting in 2026.
- Streamlined weekend schedule: League games will primarily take place Friday through Sunday, with weeknights focused on practices—reducing the need for midweek travel.
- Balanced travel: Teams will play a 24-game schedule with no more than 12 away games (Niagara, GTA, Windsor), and as few as three trips when multiple games are scheduled per weekend.
- Tournament flexibility: Participation in U.S.-based events and additional showcases remains possible—offering players greater visibility for post-secondary opportunities.
- Cost-effective elite experience: Our program delivers high-performance development at a fraction of the cost of other elite baseball organizations.
- Open recruitment: Players from any association across Ontario are eligible to try out—no borders or residency restrictions. All WCBA players are invited to tryout.

Tryouts will cost $50 and will begin the Tuesday following Labour Day, with all tryouts completed by the second Sunday in September. This tryout fee will guarantee two tryouts.
