Major Rookie 9U, 2019-20 (Sarnia Brigade Minor Baseball Association)

I'd like to start by thanking you for your interest in our program. We are committed to helping your child improve his skills and increase his love of the game. Baseball Ontario mandates that coaches follow specific training in order to equip them with the newest techniques and information possible. The 2020 season did not make it easy for us, but we hope that 2021 allows the boys to get back on the diamond playing the game.  Tryouts will be held on Mondays and Thursdays allowing us to enjoy the few final warm weekends with our families. (Sarnia, ON) There was no box score indicating a winner, in fact, there was no opponent on the field. And yet, for our twelve young boys and four coaches, Monday night was a victory. The boys gathered together for the first time since our last indoor practice on March 8th, exactly 155 days ago.

Thanks to some favourable weather, our 2011s were able to hit the field for three tryout sessions. All players showed great potential, skill and aggressiveness, which made the coaches’ decisions all the more difficult. The most taxing responsibility as coaches is making decisions regarding who will make the team. We understand a player's disappointment and appreciate the effort of every single player on the diamond.

Due to incoming inclement weather, tonight's joint Minor (2012) and Major (2011) Rookie Fall Workout has been cancelled. We look forward to seeing everyone at Clearwater tomorrow night at 5:30.
